Iraq:
Half a million Iraqi children have died under sanctions that denied food, financial assistance, economic participation in the global economy and medical and humanitarian assistance. Ever growing hordes of children find themselves parentless in a war-torn nation, foraging in streets, alleys and dumps, eating rotted food. Water and access to medical care are sub-standard or non-existent. The United States can spend a half a trillion dollars funding the destruction of a nation while army doctors, under-paid and under-staffed, turn children away in desparation.
